Galaxy Note 3 Bend Test (iPhone 6 Plus Follow-up)

Galaxy Note 3 Bend Test (iPhone 6 Plus Follow-up)

Presented by SquareSpace Okay, so I’m back You probably have already watched the iPhone 6 Plus bend test, but I’ve got a huge number of requests to do another device, so I have Note 3 here, which is a similar formfactor and people just wanna know, I guess, is this bending something to be expected on any device this size? We’re about to find out, but one more thing I want to mention about the 6 Plus: as I attempted to bend it back to it’s original form it cracked in that location and it also cracked the glass on the screen as i hope you can see there in that image so we ended up with a crack after all so a little bit less usable then just a bend so I don’t know what my reccomendation is if yours ends up bent, probably just leave it that way because when you attempt to bend it back, you might very well end up cracking the display along with it. But, enough about the 6 Plus, is this unusual for a large device, let’s find out now using the Note 3, let’s go! So, this Note 3 was actually dead, so i just got a battery backup here to charge it up, should have checked that before i started recording, but this is amazing, with the same or maybe more force, this thing hasn’t bent at all. Or it bent, i mean, it bent as i was doing it it was creeking and making all kind of crazy noises, but… ultimatly, no damage. Let’s go ahead one more time here… and try this again, with it plugged in this time. Just plugged in to a battery backup. So here we go. That is as hard as i can push. And nothing. Oh, it’s a little warped. It’s a little bit warped. You can probably see that, it’s a tiny bit warped. But, wow, that device is completely functioning, that’s crazy so, the Galaxy Note 3 survives the exact same bent test that the iPhone 6 Plus failed. That i did not expect, with a plastic build. But, there you have it, materials like plastic in many ways offer, I don’t know, the best solution for durability in some cases I guess this is a good example of that. Obviously, not the most beautiful material to hold in your hand, but if you’re looking for something that can withstand a torture test like this, then I guess the Note technically wins this particular battle. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with the Note 4, when it comes out, it’s launching very shortly, but at this moment, we have a completely functional Note 3 with very little battery power, because I didn’t charge it in advance. Anyways, that wraps up this video, This were some painfull tests to do, although in this particular case, the Note 3 survived. But let me know what you think down in the comments, is that what you expected to see? Probably not. Alright, that wraps up this video. 1. difference between unibody unit and a unit made of many different parts. Design choice which makes the iPhone look amazing.
Also has been proven that the force needed is still a lot and does not happen often in real world use. Consider how many iPhone's Apple sell and how many are actually reporting this problem (and how many people are joining the bad PR band wagon) and bent their phone deliberately. Yes it does bend with force, so will ANYTHING if you try hard enough. The force needed to bend an iPhone is not something you are going to experience in real life usage of this device. SO stop HATING.

  2. It's absolutely painful too see these comments about regarding which os is better the ios or the android (im a apple fan ๐Ÿ˜œ)
So… We all have our opinions and such but please stop this nonsense about the better os…
And this is what the apple users say "Step aside little android users.. We the ios people have some business to attend too…"
Notice how calm apple is… Its because the video which you see is clearly about bending the galaxy note 3 and thats when the android fans get attached to much with all this hibby jeebys… And if it was a iphone product the apple fanboys and fangirls take over the comment section…

  4. every one saying samsung is better than apple , did u not realize that the samsung is thicker than the apple and the samsung has a plastic back wich makes it harder to bend ? i love apple

  5. after a year of using my note 4… ive had to get it repaired 3 times. No drops. No cracks. Nothing. Just a bunch of different problems (sound not working, display not working, battery stopped working etc.) yet my mom with an iphone and my friends with iphones also for a year has had nothing happen. I think its time for me to change to iphone.

  10. For me Note 3 is the best. I remember that it kept falling like for 2 years and its perfectly working. It just has a little scratch on the right corner. Like if you still use the note 3.

  13. I have note 3 and recently got iPhone 7 plus. Honestly I will return it and stick to my Samsung phone. I dropped it many many times in past 3 and half years. Little scratches on sides but screen and back like the day I got it. Iphone 7 nothing special.

  14. It bent in your pocket.? okay cool why did you even buy that ? people don't buy to break their phones and If you are too dumb that you can't feel a thing being bent in your pocket than it's your fault not the manufacturer. apple is apple Samsung or whatever Android is Android . fuck what people say. if you like your choice don't judge others let him have his phone cuz he paid his money outta his own pocket not you.

  19. I have been using note 3 for 4 years now… it is still in perfect shape… except a bit cracks on screen and a chip on the corner

  20. My Note3 still lives and function very well up to this day. If it breaks someday, I'm getting a samsung Note9 or what note is gonna be latest when it breaks hahaha
