In this video we will show you how to search for an online class at Cincinnati State. First, navigate to Cincinnati State.edu and then on the upper right hand corner, click on the hamburger icon and you will get a drop-down with more options. Next, click on course search. From here, you will click on “interactive course search.” A new tab will open and this is where you will perform your search. From the term drop box select the appropriate term. The fall 2017 schedule is not yet available, for example, but a good gauge of the courses that will be offered will be available in fall 2016. In the location dropbox, select “web online with no required meeting dates.” When you are finished, click Submit. This produces a large list of courses and details to the course. If you click on the hyperlink section name and title, an additional tab opens with course descriptions with prerequisites and co-requisites information. Available cap/ wait column tells students how many seats there are. For example, for the first class Accounting 101-400, there are 24 total seats, eight of which are still available. Courses that are waitlisted will have a number in that final place. The number of credit hours associated with the course are indicated in the credits column. While a good old-fashioned list of online courses would be easier this is the most accurate method of course exploration. We’d be happy to walk you through, click-by-click how to do this if you’d like to schedule time with us over the phone.
