Korea’s mobile carriers resume distributing preordered Samsung Galaxy Note 7s

Korea’s three main mobile carriers have resumed
distrubition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to customers who preordered the device. Around twenty to thirty percent of the 400-thousand
Galaxy Note7s pre-ordered in Korea have yet to be sent out. SK Telecom, LG U-plus and KT are also preparing
to restart new sales of the phones on- and offline in Korea on October 1st. Samsung has extended special offers to preorder
users, including a free fitness wearable, the Smartband Gear Fit 2, through October
15th. Samsung Electronics released the phone on
August 19th, but announced a massive global recall on September 2nd amid a handful of
reports of battery overheating problems.
