Phone Clip troubleshooting: Unwanted noises

Troubleshooting: Phone Clip
Topic: Unwanted Noise This section is going to cover unwanted noises beeps, alerts, things that you hear through your Phone Clip while using your phone. So it’s important to remember here that the phone clip is just a relay device of the signal that’s being sent by your phone. So there’s no issues with the Phone Clip
when you’re hearing unwanted beeps or alerts, it actually
has to do with the settings on your phone. On an iPhone it’s usually as simple as changing to silent mode. And there’s a switch on the side of the
iPhone that allows you to do that. I know that there are many Android
phones as well that have either a physical switch or a button to
press within the settings menu that allows you to go to silent mode and that should turn off
these notifications. If that doesn’t work and you are still
getting a beep or a notification every time you
get an email or a text message, you need to go into your phone settings and try to determine
what is sending that signal and deselect alerts and notifications. What’s happening is If you have alerts on for email, an
email comes to your phone, your phone says I’m getting an email message I need
to send an alert to the user and the Phone Clip sends a Bluetooth signal because when it’s
connected to a Bluetooth device it no longer beeps. It sends a signal to that Bluetooth
device. The Bluetooth device or the Phone Clip then says “I’m receiving a signal from the phone
and I need to switch over to streaming mode on my processor.” And that causes the beep in your processor. So
when you get an email message you have a signal going from the phone,
to the Phone Clip, to the processor and you hear a beep. In that
time and it’s a very short time but it’s still long enough to delay the beep coming through
and you often don’t hear the beep the notification and the signal and it times out at the processor and the
Phone Clip then says “There’s no more signal coming through.” and it switches you back into the
standard program and you hear another beep. So it becomes rather annoying if you’re hearing that over and over again but that is the reason why. You’re getting a signal from the phone to the
phone clip to the processor and then everything turning back off. So again the way to fix this is to go into
settings and put your phone in silent mode or
turn off alerts and notifications and that should solve it for you.
