So the Samsung Galaxy S11 will have the 108MP
camera sensor which is going to be the second device to cross the 100MP barrier, the first
one is from Xiaomi but the maker of that camera sensor was Samsung itself and today Samsung
has released an official video detailing some capabilities of this new camera sensor. It’s the same sensor that appeared on Xiaomi’s
Mi Note 10 but the Galaxy S11 Plus will use a tailored version of it where instead of
the 2×2 Tetracell tech that Xiaomi used for their phone, Samsung will instead use 3×3
binning tech resulting in a record pixel size of 2.4 microns. That said, there are a couple of things Samsung
has mentioned in the video. First is the Smart ISO that activates lower
ISO in daylight and higher ISO in low light for better dynamic range and less noise. The second is the cross talk. If you don’t know what cross talk is, it occurs
when photons falling on one pixel are “falsely” sensed by other pixels around it. For example, we call it crosstalk if we shine
highly focused light only on a red pixel, and the blue pixel shows a response. So with this new sensor, Samsung has physically
isolated the individual pixels to prevent crosstalk and interference. Resulting in a much sharper, quality image. Also, Samsung showcased a phone at the end
of the video with a camera design similar to the S10 but with 5 cameras instead. A lot of you tagged me on twitter saying it’s
the S11’s design but I can assure it’s not. It’s just a generic device, most of the time
Samsung uses these kinds of generic phone designs in their videos which means absolutely
nothing. So no this isn’t the S11, it will for sure
have this huge rectangular camera design. Of course, Samsung will officially unveil
the Galaxy S11+ on February 18th and in the meantime, we’re going to hear quite a lot
about it so you can consider subscribing if you want to keep updated with each and every
news about this handset. Also, we have the official renders of the
Galaxy Note 10 Lite. If you haven’t been paying attention Samsung
is launching the lite versions of the Galaxy S10 and Note 10. As you can see, it looks more like the Galaxy
S11 albeit with a flat display. A lot of you wanted a Galaxy Note device with
a flat display and there you have it. Now you’ll be less likely to accidentally
slide off the display when you use the S-Pen. On the back, the triple camera is arranged
in an L shape in a square housing and these are expected to be the camera configuration. It’ll be available in Aura Glow, red and classic
black. These are other specifications of the handset,
the processor is going to be the Exynos 9810 the same one used on the Galaxy Note 9. Because of this, they were able to keep the
cost down, the last time we heard it is rumored to cost somewhere around 600 euros which is
going to be a really good price for what it offers. Of course, that said, do let me know your
thoughts on this down in the comments and as always I’ll see you tomorrow…peace out!
