Veterans: Enter your MOS Code on Google to Find Your Next Job

SPEAKER: If you’re one of the
250,000 service members who transition out of the
US military every year, you know one of the toughest
parts of the transition to civilian life is the
search for a job that takes advantage of the skills
you’ve gained while serving. Since many new job
searches start on Google, we wanted to make it easier
to find civilian jobs that fit your skills. You can now search with the
phrase “jobs for veterans” directly on Google,
and then enter your military occupational
specialty code. Google brings
together job openings from across the
web into categories that match the skills you’ve
gained in your military role. Some you probably
already considered, and others may surprise you. For each category, you’ll see
useful data, like local average salary and occupation growth. See a job you like? Just click to apply, and start
your new career right away. Because at Google,
we want to help you and all veterans
use your experience to guide your future.

  1. Has anyone actually tried this? I typed "Job for Veterans" in my google search and just got a long list of results. Nothing popped up to enter an MOS number like in the video.

  2. Any idea why this is not showing up on my phone? All i get the typical paid results like indeed, recruit etc. I live in Japan btw
